Insulating concrete, how to protect buildings from extreme heat?

Climate change, which is already being felt in Poland, means that insulating concrete is useful in house construction – how can it be used to protect buildings from extreme heat?

Insulating concrete is a building material characterised by its high resistance to various external factors, such as strong UV radiation and high temperatures. Therefore, this refractory insulation material is a great solution if you are trying to protect the interior of your house from the strong sun. Insulating concrete can withstand temperatures of up to 1700°C. They are sold in the Vitcas store in economical and sealed packaging. These products are manufactured in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2015, which is a testament to their high quality. These refractory materials are characterised by their low density. Due to their low thermal conductivity, they can be an excellent protection for buildings against excessive heat.

Refractory insulation material is easy to apply to the surface of building walls. This allows for significant savings in the creation of protective barriers against strong sunlight. This is a much faster and cheaper way to protect the walls of a house than, for example, installing polystyrene panels. Insulating concrete is also easy to transport thanks to its packaging in durable containers with carrying handles. Traditional refractory concrete has a compact formula based on fireclay and is hydraulically bound. Modern façade design with concrete is currently very trendy, which is why wall coverings made of it will look great.

Use of insulating concrete in industrial construction

Insulating concrete is a material that combines high strength with excellent insulating properties. Thanks to its low thermal conductivity, this concrete effectively protects buildings from extreme heat, remaining durable at temperatures up to 1700°C. Vitcas products, including refractory concrete, are easy to apply, making them an ideal choice for both industrial and domestic construction.
